A semiconductor design house, based in Mexico.
Sascab Microsystems designs intellectual property and integrated circuits for signal compression in silicon. Our first domain is cardiac monitoring, where we work with original equipment manufacturers in Mexico and abroad.
Who we are
We design silicon; we do not manufacture it.
We are a fabless company: our product is the design. We operate no plant and hold no inventory. That lets us put all of our capital and all of our engineering time into one thing — making sure the block works, can be verified, and integrates into our customers' silicon without friction.
Our domain is signal compression. We do not build general-purpose integrated circuits: we do one thing, and today we do it thoroughly for one specific class of device — the cardiac monitor — before extending it to others. That discipline is what lets a small team compete with much larger suppliers.
Our first product, BioRLE-1, is validated and ready for tape-out. The algorithm core is published under the Apache License 2.0 so that any engineering team can audit it before a commercial relationship exists.

How we work
Quality commitment
Our customers operate under medical device regulation. The IP block is not certified on its own, but the way we deliver it has to hold up inside the design history file of whoever integrates it.
Traceability
Every delivery ships with reference vectors and reproducible results, so the verified behaviour can be documented on the customer's side.
Version control
RTL, software model and documentation are versioned together: one licence corresponds to one unambiguously identifiable state of the design.
Auditability
The algorithm core is public. What the customer verifies is the same thing they can inspect line by line, without taking our word for it.

Evaluation, integration and support are handled remotely, with engineering meetings in the customer's time zone. No physical presence is required to start a project.
